Dynamical Systems Simulator based on a Java Application

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

In this paper, a java-based simulator of dynamical systems and signals is presented. This simulator implements linear low-order process models. Stability analysis, open-loop control and closed-loop tests can be done with the application. Analysis of signals and noise is available using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The main contribution is a Java application that can be used by the instructor / user in a blended learning environment to teach / learn the basic notions of dynamical signals and systems, both in open-loop control and in closed-loop control, running on all the most popular operating systems.
