Abstract
The thin sedimentary cover of the middle shelf offshore S. Pedro de Muel is characterized by evident vertical fácies variations, imprinted by the meteo-oceanographic forcing and high energetic sedimentary processes. In the framework of a more extended geotechnical study conducted on marine sediments, three vertical samples were collected between 39 and 59 m depth and fully analyzed. Results show a good correlation between texture, CaCO3 content and fine particles composition.
