Abstract
This article briefly presents a geographical approach to the spatial transformations derived from the touristification of nightlife in the old harbour neighbourhood of Cais do Sodré, in Lisbon (Portugal). The article sheds light on how the massive arrival of tourists in «the night» of Cais do Sodré and the expansion of new hotels and/or tourism short rentals in the area have led to the spatial displacement of local customers and the disappearance of the traditional nightlife bars, resulting in a loss of tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the city.
