Abstract
The crystallization behaviour of aluminophosphate glasses belonging to the Li2O-BaO-Al2O3-La2O3-P2O5 system, containing Eu3+ ions (EDAP glass) has been studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD) .The crystallization kinetics under non-isothermal conditions was investigated from the results obtained by DSC at different heating rates. The activation energy of crystallization and the Avrami parameter (n) were determined . These materials are used as base components for optical sensors that aim at measuring the shaft and angular mechanical displacement of different engine parts from automotive and energetic field
