Abstract
The People's Republic of China is the world’s
second largest oil consumer and importer. The
U.S. International Energy Agency predicts that by
2030, China will surpass the United States and will
become the world's largest oil consumer. This article
analyzes Angola’s role in the strategy adopted by the Chinese leaders and China’s quest for a greater energy security.
