Contract-based approach for shop-floor re-engineering

Abstract

This paper proposes a new agile control/supervision architecture based on the concepts of cluster and consortium regulated by contract and discusses the advantage of the approach to support shop-floor life-cycle. Typical co-operation forms, different types of consortium co-ordination, agentification of manufacturing components, and contract modelling are also discussed. Copyright (C) 2001 IFAC.
