Abstract

This article analyses some aspects of legal pluralism in the Portuguese Empire in the early twentieth century. It begins with a brief overview of the forms of legal pluralism experienced in different periods of Portuguese history, and ends with a presentation of the initial results of recent research in the Historical Archives of Mozambique.
