Collateral circulation of the lung - pre and post-natal development in the normal lung in congenital conditions with pulmonary hypoperfusion - An interpretative review

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The authors review the vascular development of the lung within the context of the general development of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, proposing a division into periods of initial evolution in function of age and circulatory patterns as they successively occur in the lung. The development of pre and post-natal systemic collateral circulation of the normal lung is treated and discussed from the functional point of view.
