Collateral arterial circulation in situations of congenital pulmonary hypoperfusion. Aspects of pre and post-natal development

The authors review the embryological pathology of numerous congenital situations that lead to states of functional hypoperfusion, analysing and discussing the different patterns assumed by congenital and acquired collateral vascularization in each of them, as well as the functional role of this collateral vascularization.
