Abstract

Collaborative Governance (CG) is a way to involve stakeholders in a collective, deliberative process for consensus building with the objective to develop or implement public policies, or manage programs or resources.

For this, public and private actors work collectively using methods of collective decision making processes to establish laws/rules for public goods.

A scheme, a process, were do we end up? What is in fact CG?

In this communication, departuring from the reflection in the construction of a governance model for marine protected areas this issue will be explored and discussed.
