Abstract
In this text I examine the coherence or fragmentation of Private International Law applicable in Portugal with regard to the regime of international insurance contracts, from the point of view of the harmonization of the law within the European Union. The analysis focuses on European regulations, namely on Rome I Regulation and Brussels-I Recast Regulation.
