Abstract
This book tackles Tourism in Rural Areas (TRA), a tourist accomodation sector in the Portuguese countryside, considering quantitative and qualitative materials collected in a multi-scalar perspective. The aims are to integrate TRA in to the dynamics of the Portuguese post/neo-rurality, to examine the supply, its promoters and the demand, as well to analyze the perceived and actual effects of the sector on rural development.
