AUTOMATION OF A LAMINAR FLOWMETER USING MEMS TECHNOLOGY

Abstract

This work consisted on developing a Data Acquisition System (DAS) to be associated to an old laminar flowmeter in order to make it automatic. The DAS is composed by a microcontroller board Arduino and two Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS), one to measure pressure drop and another to measure fluid's actual temperature and pressure. To estimate the error of flow rate measured by the automated flowmeter, a model uncertainties simulation and several calibrations were made.
