Abstract

In this paper we propose an authentication block for Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture (AMBA) Advanced Peripheral Bus (APB) communication developed in SystemVerilog to mitigate the register access control vulnerability. The block contemplates three different authentication methods, which are employed to protect a selected range of addresses. After the simulation and verification of the block, the results obtained were promising with potential for enhancement, including the incorporation of mechanisms capable of detecting potential attacks and alternative authentication methods.
