Abstract
The lecture-recital "Trumpet Techniques Today: Between Jazz and Contemporary Music" explores the intersections between modern instrumental practice and the influences of jazz and contemporary music. Cláudio Silva presents advanced trumpet techniques, covering everything from jazz improvisation elements to extended techniques used in contemporary music. In addition to the live performance, the conference includes a theoretical reflection on the evolution of the repertoire and the new technical-expressive demands for trumpet players in the 21st century.
