Abstract
This essay has two main aims: firstly, it proposes a sociological study of the history of modern bullrings with a view to demonstrating how and to what extent they reflect the social configuration of a specific audience. Secondly, it discusses how the cultural boundaries of bullfighting are not confined to Spanish national borders.
