Abstract

The presente publication is a bilingual anthology of the poetry of the twentieth-century Portuguese poet António Gedeão, literary pseudonym of the historian of science, teacher and author Rómulo de Carvalho (1906-1997). This anthology, which provides a representative percentage of the poet's output, also contains an introductory study by Christopher Damien Auretta which contextualizes the thematic universe of the poet within the historical and eschatological imagination underpinning the modern Western perspective.
