Abstract
With this essay, we intend to demonstrate how the writer João Guimarães Rosa gives voice to the storyteller Seu Camilo, a character in the novel “Uma Estória de Amor”, from the Corpo de Baile cycle. In this sense, I establish relations between notes and images shown in the writer's travel diaries, with an emphasis on his presence in Brazilian popular culture, to see if the measure can establish a relationship between this animal and the language itself. In this analytical path, you can dialogue with Derrida's ideas, examine in Plato's Pharmacy and concepts about memory, adopted by Paul Ricoeur, of Aristotelian
thought.
