A methodology for shop floor reengineering based on multiagents

Abstract

Achieving shop floor agility is a major challenge for manufacturing companies. A multiagent based approach for shopfloor reengineering where agility is achieved through configurations of contracts is briefly introduced. A methodology to agentify manufacturing components in order to participate in the multiagent community is presented An experimental validation scenario is finally described.
