Abstract
In this paper we describe a web-based decision support system for manufacturing scheduling based on web services. This system follows a P2P architecture to enable a more decentralized and global manufacturing scheduling environment. The system is structured around a classification notation for scheduling problems. The peers in the network hold methods for solving problems. These methods are selected through the web decision support system for each kind of problem to be solved. Some examples of manufacturing scheduling problems are presented and solved for illustrating the use of the system.
