Aprender que a demência é protagonista do psiquismo humano e que só dificilmente se superará pela educação dos sentidos, a des-hipnotização da consciência, a leveza seriíssima do pensamento, a escola árdua do desejo, o nosso contributo amoroso à construção da nova Torre de Babel, a desautorização da tirania e a neutralização das várias patologias de que o ego se encontra eivado. As is the case in the work of Pessoa, we understand sensation to be unbounded by the historical dimension of those elements of the real that are available to human apperception. We understand sensation to be both sensate and the neurological flashpoint at which the empiricially immediate and the metaphysically conjectural together ignite on the plane of fiction. We understand sensation and thought to be the outpost of the metaphysically ludic, which is art. Art is the supreme expression of being, i.e., being which is somatised and democratised, metabolised and realised. For Pessoa, it means the realisation of the spiritual civilisation of which his Mensagem is the preparatory message.
