Abstract
Portuguese Abstract: A Diretiva Whistleblower vai determinar a adoção transversal no setor público e privado de programas de ética e compliance baseados em procedimentos de denúncia interna de violações do direito da União Europeia. Neste artigo analisam-se os traços fundamentais do sistema de whistleblowing previsto na Diretiva e o impacto que terá no desenvolvimento de uma cultura de integridade nas organizações na União Europeia.
English Abstract: The Whistleblowing Directive will determine the widespread adoption of ethics and compliance programs in the private and public sectors which are based on the internal reporting of breaches of European Union law. This article analyses the main features of the system of whistleblowing foreseen in the Directive, as well as the impact of the latter in fostering an organizational culture of integrity in the European Union.
