Abstract
This article intends to assess the cooperation of the People’s
Republic of China and the Federative Republic of Brazil in
the energy sector, with special focus on the hydrocarbon
sector. Cooperation in this sector, which has been gradually
reinforced by government and business agreements signed
during the bilateral high-level visits, involves the world’s
largest consumer of energy and a country that enjoys a
large energy potential but needs considerable financial investments
and technological support for its development
