TIAGO ALEXANDRE NARCISO DA SILVA obtained his first and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon (IPL). He received his PhD in mechanical engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon (IST/UL) in 2015, having developed research work in the field of deterministic and stochastic model updating in structural dynamics. During his PhD, Tiago was young researcher at LAETA, IDMEC - Instituto de Engenharia Mecânica of IST/UL and visit researcher at the Centre for Engineering Dynamics of the Institute for Risk & Uncertainty of the University of Liverpool.

Tiago is Invited Assistant Professor at Faculty of Sciences and Technology of NOVA University of Lisbon (FCT NOVA) at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (DEMI NOVA) in the group of Structural Mechanics. He is now researcher at the Research and Development Unit for Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. Tiago is member of the Portuguese Association of Theoretical, Applied and Computational Mechanics and of the Portuguese Association of Industrial Maintenance. He is member of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Structural Engineering Dynamics (ICEDyn). Tiago is co-author of several works published in international conferences and scientific journals, being referee of some relevant scientific journals in the field of structural dynamics, namely: Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, Journal of Vibration and Control or International Journal for Computational Methods in Engineering Science & Mechanics.
