Personal information

Sumita Goswami is a materials researcher with more than 10 years of admirable research experience. She obtained her bachelor's and master’s degree in physics from Jadavpur University (Kolkata, India). She also did her Ph.D. (2014) from Jadavpur University in the field of Materials Science and Nanotechnology. During her research career (including Post-Doc in CENIMAT|i3N group of Portugal), she has published in several high-impact peer-reviewed journals and proceedings of the ISI and worked for several international and national projects. Currently, she is a Senior Researcher in AlmaScience (Portugal) with the principal responsibility of developing building blocks for cellulose-based smart electronics.

She has competences on: Development, processing, and functionalization of polymer materials and its hybrids/composites (nanostructures or thin films) on any kind of substrates using solution-based cost-effective methods; Designing polymeric materials for multifunctional applications like energy harvester, sensors, data storage, supercapacitor, TFT, electrorheology; Developing and designing devices/prototypes for Wearables and Paper-based electronics while projecting sustainable green technology and Zero E-Waste Challenge.
