Sónia Carabineiro obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (Catalysis) in 2001 at FCT - Nova University of Lisbon, Portugal. From 2000/2003 she was Invited Researcher and Post Doc at Leiden University, The Netherlands. From 2004/2007 she was a Post Doc grant at the IST-University of Lisbon. She was Assistant Researcher (2007/2013) and Principal Researcher (2013/2018) at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). She became Integrated Researcher of IST and Invited (Visiting) Professor at Wuhan Textile University, China in 2019. She got Habilitation ("Agregação") in Chemistry at IST in 2019. She is presently Assistant Professor at FCT-Nova (since 2020).
