Salomé Lopes Coelho is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at NOVA Institute of Communication, NOVA University of Lisbon, with the project Rhuthmanalysis and Ecologies of the Moving Image, focusing on contemporary experimental Latin American cinema.
PhD in Artistic Studies - Art and Mediations (Institute of Philosophy of NOVA University of Lisbon) with the thesis Vital rhythm and the gesture of crossing. Survivals of ekstasis in cinema (FCT fellowship).
Visiting researcher fellow at the National University of Arts, Buenos Aires, and lecturer on Rhythm and Art at the same University.
Coeditor of La Furia Umana - Journal of History and Theory of Cinema.
