Personal information

Rita Campos e Cunha is Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. 
Rita has a B.A. in Psychology, from ISPA in Lisbon, an M.A. in Human Resource Management, from New York University and a PhD. in Management from the University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).

She is the author and co-author of several books, text-books, book chapters and articles in academic journals, such as the International Journal of HRM, Leadership, International Business Review, Journal of Applied Management Studies or Journal of Managerial Psychology. She is Editor of Management Research and a member of the Editorial Boards of Cross-Cultural Management, Revista de Administração de Empresas, Comportamento Organizacional e Gestão, Portuguese Journal of Management Studies and Tehkne. Her current research interests are related with the impact of HRM on organizational performance, and HRM from a process approach.

Her managerial experience includes creating and managing the first university career management service in Portugal, being director of the MBA and coordinator of the international office, at Nova SBE. She has been responsible for several consultancy projects, in large Portuguese companies. More recently, she was Academic Director of the MSc. in Management and CEMS Masters in International Management Academic Director. She is Vice-President of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management.

Research interests

Current research interests include: the impact of HRM on organizational performance, considering both content and process perspectives.
