Current research interests include the development of solution-based oxide materials; including dielectric, semi-conductive and conductive oxides, using low temperature solution combustion synthesis for applications in printable transparent electronics.
Rita Branquinho holds a degree in Chemistry from the Universidade de Lisboa (2002) and a Ph.D. degree in Nanotechnologies and Nanosciences from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (2012). Since 2014 she is an Invited Assistant Professor at the Materials Science Department of FCT NOVA, lecturing in the Materials Science Engineering and the Micro and Nanotechnologies Engineering Master Programs and supervising undergraduate and MSc. students of Materials Engineering, Micro and Nanotechnologies, Biomedical e Biochemistry courses. She has focused her research mainly in the development and characterization of oxide nanomaterials and devices for electronic and sensor applications. She is co-author of over 30 peer-reviewed papers (h-index = 14, as March 2021). To date she participated in 12 national and international R&D projects (including Merck Chemicals; EIT SuperSmart; H2020 1D-NEON; FP7 i-FLEXIS; FP7 POINTS; MultiNOx; BloodFET).
