PhD candidate in Global Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the New University of Lisbon (FCSH-UNL). Researcher at the Portuguese Institute of International Relations (IPRI). His PhD thesis concerns the relationship between globalization (and global governance) and foreign policy in Southern Europe (Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Greece).

He has completed a MA in History, International Relations and Cooperation at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (FLUP), with a dissertation titled “A Política Externa Portuguesa: continuidade e ruturas. Análise dos programas de Governo de 1999 ao presente” [“Portuguese Foreign Policy: continuity and changes. An analysis of Government Programs from 1999 to the present”], and a BA in Languages and International Relations, at the same institution.
