Research activity per year
Ph.D. student in Anthropology: Politics and Displays of Culture and Museology. In 2015 he completed the Master of Anthropology - Visual Cultures (FCSH-NOVA). His ongoing research focuses on the revitalization and heritage-making of the death cult of Commending the Souls in three villages of Beira Baixa (Portugal), questioning the ritual relationships between the living and the dead.
He is the author of the article "Voicing Souls. Embodying Uncertainty in a Portuguese Borderland Village", published in the Ethnologia Europaea, Journal of European Ethnology (forthcoming [2020]), and author of the book chapter entitled "The Commending of Souls: Body and the Senses" (2019).
