Research interests

The current scientific interests in the field of Applied Physics are the production and characterization of functional molecular films of organic molecules with relevant properties for specific applications as in the areas of electronics, photonics, biosensors. Among other molecules and molecular systems envisaged are polymers, polymers with particular features properties as nonlinear-optics, electrical conduction, luminescent, polyectectrolytes, dendrimers, synthetic and natural dyes. From the point of view of Biomedical Science actual work is on the development of thin film sensors for clinical diagnosis, development of automated infusion system dedicated to cadaveric embalming; study of "PENTACAM"system, from "OCULUS"(http://www.pentacam.com/sites/index.php), for eye pathology diagnosis and study of contact lenses damage due to UV radiation and environmental chemical agents and radiation level monitoring in crew airplane cockpits.
