Currently a PhD Candidate at the NOVA School of Law (2022-Present) and a PhD Scholarship Recipient from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Her current research focuses on the climate governance and climate change international legal framework, particularly on how to strengthen the role of indigenous peoples. Holds a Master of Laws degree from the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), Brazil, which was recognized in 2022 by Nova University of Lisbon with a rating of 17 (out of 20). Additionally, possesses a Bachelor of Laws from UFMA and a license to practice as an attorney in Brazil (OAB/MA nº 14.915). Researcher at CEDIS (R&D Centre on Law & Society) and at Nova Green Lab. Professional experience includes work as an instructor at the State Government School of Maranhão (2021-Current), as a Civil servant at the State Attorney General's Office of Maranhão, working in the Scientific Unit of the institution in the development of human rights plans (2021-2024), as Special Advisor to the Secretary of State for Human Rights and Popular Participation (2016-2021), and as a university professor (2019-2020). Served as a Council Member of the State Council for Persons with Disabilities (2017-2019). Former member of the University Popular Legal Advisory Center NAJUP - Negro Cosme (2010-2013); of the Research, Teaching, and Extension Group, Law, Culture, and Society (2017-2019); and of the Research Center for Law and Diversity – NUPEDD (2017 to 2023), all affiliated with UFMA. Areas of expertise encompass International Law and Public Law, with an emphasis on International Human Rights Law, Constitutional Law, Urban Law, Environmental Law, Climate Law, and the Rights of Socially Vulnerable Groups. In 2022, the research from her master's dissertation was published in print and digital format by the publisher of the State Attorney General's Office, under the title "Commodity City and Gentrification: the intensification of urban land conflicts in the metropolitan region of Greater São Luís/MA and the hegemonic role of the Judiciary in possessory protection" (free translation).
