Personal profile

Research interests

Current research interests are the study of mechanisms that lead to the creation of supramolecular architectures, ie, "self-assembly" of molecules with the most varied properties in order to create functionality. The formation of supramolecular architectures is closely linked to the wide variety of molecules that can be used and its properties are related with the interactions that the molecules can do. It should be noted that the study of interactions and processes of production of architecture is of fundamental importance for understanding the processes of self-replication and self-repair in the living systems. Another interest is the creation of heterostrutures, for devices applications and for controlled studies of radiation damage of biomolecules near cellular conditions, with different amount of water molecules in order to create conditions for the maintenance of biological molecules activity.
