Margarida Madaleno obtained her BSc in Business Management from King’s College London, her MSc in Economics at Nova SBE, and her PhD in Economic Geography at the London School of Economics. Before her PhD, she worked on systematic reviews and meta-analysis at both the Inter-American Development Bank (Washington, DC) and the What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth (London). Her PhD work focused on urban impact evaluations, using administrative data, Tweets and Google Streetview images. After her PhD, she worked conducted research at the Grantham Research Institute (London), and also did a post-doc at the University of Lisbon – ISEG. Her expertise is in urban economics and policy evaluation.
