Social Researcher, writer and teacher. Post-Doctorate in Social and Legal Sciences at Universitat de Barcelona and in Sociology at UFPE. PhD in Anthropology from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), having been a Visiting Researcher at Università di Roma La Sapienza, Urbaniana University, Institut Catholique de Paris, Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Spain) and Columbia University, New York City. He is an Integrated Researcher at the Center for Research Network in Anthropology (CRIA) and Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). During his career, he conducted empirical research in the following countries: Germany, Argentina, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Spain, United States, France, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, United Kingdom, Dominican Republic and Turkey. He was a UNESCO consultant on Education and Ethnic-Racial Equality in Latin America. It has books, book chapters and articles published in Angola, Argentina, Brazil , Costa Rica, United Kingdom and European Union countries (Spain and Portugal). As a result of his research and his collaborative work with the Brazilian community in Catalonia, in 2011 he received the "Pere Casaldàliga" Award from the Consulate General of Brazil in Barcelona. He regularly participates in academic and scientific events, teaching courses, giving lectures and participating in conferences and symposia. He has experience in the field of Social Sciences and International Relations (teaching and research), with an emphasis on Geopolitics, National Sovereignty and supranational authorities, acting mainly on the following themes: 1) International Migration, 2) European Union, 3) Sociology of Religion, 4 ) Information Technologies, Social Media and Media Literacy, 5) Health and Bioethics, 6) Ethnographies of Capitalism, 7) Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, 8) Social Thinking in Latin America, USA and the Mediterranean region.
