Personal profile

Research interests

I have been developing scientific research for over 10 years in the ancient colonial territories of India, collecting an extensive art history database of about 1000 specimens of integrated heritage, partially inventoried and analyzed, an important tool for heritage preservation in constant update. These achievements were possible with the financial support of several award-winning projects from FCT-Portugal, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian-Portugal and Fundação Oriente.

My scientific methods are based in a multidisciplinary approach and research (Art History, Conservation-restoration scientific analisys, Heritage Management) operating in respect of cultural diversity, ethics and heritage values, by communities and sustainable development in order to empower and raise awareness of local communities for policies of heritage management, culture promotion and sustainable tourism.

Over the next years, I will continue with scientific research, knowledge exchange and dissemination to specialized and general audiences in the fields of shared heritages (conservation, restoration, awareness, management), art history (shared heritages scenarios, 16th to 18th Century) in India, Brazil, Philipines and Mexico.
