Personal information

Researcher at CHAM (Universidade Nova de Lisboa), member of the Research Group Culture and Literature. Interdisciplinary PhD in Human Sciences from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil (2014-2017) and winner of the Scholarship program (Fellow Mundus). She mainly studies artistic and political manifestations on the urban periferia of Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon. Master in "Crossway in Cultural Narratives" (Erasmus Master Mundus Program) in 2014 by the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal) and University of Sheffield (United Kingdom). She studied the cinematographic representations of the peripheries of Lisbon in Portugal's contemporary national cinema. Graduated in Languages, Literatures and Intercultural Studies (2011), specializing in Portuguese Language and Cultures of Portuguese-speaking Countries, by the University of Florence, Italy. She has experience in the areas of literature, cinema, philosophy, education, history, cultural studies, urban studies, post-colonial studies and decolonial studies, Latin-American and African studies, with an emphasis on the study of cultures in the peripheries of Portuguese-speaking countries (especially Brazil, Portugal and Angola).
