Personal profile

Personal information

Concluded his PhD in Civil Engineering in 2014 on the study of rheology of natural hydraulic lime grouts for masonry consolidation at Faculty of Sciences and Technology, NOVA University Lisbon (FCT-UNL). In November of 2017 started, after a public tender, the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC) of FCT-UNL. He is member of executive board of the DEC of FCT-UNL, since 2019.

Research interests

His R&D activity is focused on (i) design and optimization of grouts for stone masonry consolidation, (ii) rheology of cementitious suspensions; (iii) sustainable mortars in terms of energy saving and hygrothermal performance, (iv) numerical modelling of natural ventilation and indoor air quality in heritage buildings.
