Leonor Alexandra Rossi Ruano Gouveia Pereira Marques da Costa

Leonor Rossi is Adjunct Assistant Professor of European Law and Introduction to Law. Her Ph.D in Comparative Public Law was awarded by the Law School of the University of Trento. In recent years she has focused on the analysis of the Portuguese Legal System vis à vis its European counterparts: She has written Chapters on the Portuguese Legal system in the 20th century ( co-Author of Nuno Garoupa-Univ. Illinois). for História Económica de Portugal, ICS ed; A Chapter onPreliminary Rulings requested by Portuguese Courts to the ECJ, Coordinated by Barry Rodger ( Univ. Strathclyde) for Kluwer University Press, and has just finalised as a Co-Author of Miguel Sousa Ferro (Univ. Lisbon) a Report on Private Enforcement of Competition Law in Portugal (1999-2012) coordinated at European level by Barry Rodger (Univ. Strathclyde).

Also acts as Consultant in Litigation at ECJ level circa the issue of Transparency and Access to Documents. This is one of the main fields of research engaged in and focus has been given to Member State Intervention in Legal Proceedings, The Effects of the issue of Awarding Costs in Litigation-Applicant Profiling; The Inexistence of a Blanket-ban framework in refusal of documents. During the last decade this research has been discussed at research seminars of the Real Colegio Complutense at Harvard Law School.

Current research interests include: EU Competition Law: The Costs of Opt/in Opt /out systems in Private Enforcement of Competition Law; EU Transparency Regulation: The Inexistence of a Blanket-ban framework in refusal of documents.
