Research interests

José Neves Adelino is a Professor of Finance at Nova School of Business and Economics since 1981 and a Visiting Professor at Bentley College. His interests include corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions and corporate governance, with a particular emphasis on the managerial application of Finance.

A former dean of the Nova SBE and a former director of its MBA Program, José Neves Adelino has complemented his academic career with a large practical experience, consulting extensively for corporations in Portugal.

José Neves Adelino currently serves as Non-Executive Independent Member of the Board of Directors of CIMPOR - Cimentos de Portugal SGPS, and Sonae SGPS, and as a member of the Statutory Audit Committee of Banco BPI. He was a Non-Executive Independent Member of the Board of Directors of EDP. 

José Neves Adelino was awarded the CEMS Professor of the Exclusive Course of the Year 2009/2010 and 2011/2012 (Applied Corporate Governance).

Current research interests include: Corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions and corporate governance, with a particular emphasis on the managerial application of Finance.
