Research interests

José António Pinheiro is Adjunct Associate Professor of Quantitative Methods group, namely Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analysis, Statistics for Managers, Multivariate Statistics, among others. He received his degree in Mathematics in 1976 from Lisbon University and his Master in Statistics and Information Management from Nova in 1995. He currently collaborates with International Organizations like Eurostat, European Commission, Asian Development Bank, European Reconstruction Bank and the United Nations as trainer. He worked in labor force statistics, in the improvement of the EC Labor Force Survey, in the accession of eastern countries to the EU.

He teaches different types of statistical subjects at Nova SBE. He received teaching awards as best professor in the undergraduate programs.

Current research interests include: Labor Market. Data quality. Total Quality Management. Statistical Methods applied to marketing
