In housing, he incorporates micro-founded features of the housing market into macroeconomic models to study how monetary policy affects the housing market and vice-versa. In structural transformation, he studies how labor reallocation across different industries can explain the slowdown in aggregate labor productivity growth. Methodologically, he uses structural macroeconometrics, which combines theory and applied methods to study the research questions above. He currently teaches Macroeconomics at the undergraduate programs and Macroeconometrics at the masters of economics program.
