My research focuses on leveraging design thinking, innovation, and information management to address challenges in data science, AI, and digital transformation. I explore how these methodologies enhance decision-making processes, optimize organizational performance, and foster pedagogical innovation. My work contributes to the development of adaptive innovation systems and frameworks that harness data and technology to drive value in both public and private sectors, particularly in healthcare and education.

Guilherme Martins Victorino is currently Associate Dean of NOVA IMS for the ‘Value Creation’ area and Coordinator of the ‘Innovation & Analytics’ and ‘Health & Analytics’ Laboratories and coordinates the Postgraduate Programme in Health Information Management and BI. He is also the coordinator of the Design Thinking course at the Doctoral School of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, accompanying doctoral students in disruptive innovation processes. As a consultant and certified trainer in Design Thinking and Change Management, he has had the opportunity to work on new approaches to innovation in more than a hundred workshops and research projects applying design thinking in the private, public and social sectors in Portugal, Spain, Holland, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Australia and Brazil. As an executive, he has a career spanning more than 15 years in leadership positions in sectors such as Health, Media and Telecommunications.
