Elin Figueiredo is Assistant Researcher at Centre of Materials Research, Institute for Nanostructures, Nanomodelling and Nanofabrication (CENIMAT/i3N) where she conducts research related to cultural heritage materials and degradation processes. She teaches at the Materials Science and at the Conservation and Restoration Departments (Univ. NOVA) on subjects related to analytical techniques and conservation of metals. She is the Director of the journal Conservar Património (indexed in WoS and Scopus). She completed a PhD in 2010 with a thesis related to Corrosion and ancient copper-based metallurgy from the Portuguese territory (Univ. NOVA). She has published more than 50 papers in specialized journals, conference proceedings, book chapters, incl. one Encyclopaedia entrance. She has received 4 awards and participated in more than 10 funded projects from competitive calls.
