Elena-Delia Bancu holds a PhD in European Law, awarded by Faculdade de Direito da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (2026). Her doctoral studies were supported by a doctoral scholarship granted by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT).
She has an interdisciplinary background, combining legal and political science. She obtained a Bachelor degree in Law (2002) from the Law Faculty, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania and a Bachelor degree in Political Sciences (2013) from the Faculty of History and Geography, Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, Romania, followed by a Master degree in International Relations and European Studies (2018) from the Faculty of History and Geography, Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, Romania.
Her academic training includes two programs of advanced studies at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium: Master in International and Comparative Law (2003), with a specialization in European Law, and Master in European Integration and Development (2004), with a focus on European Politics and Social Integration.
