Electrochemistry applied to biological systems, namely enzymes and other metalloproteins.

Electronic transfer kinetics studies, enzyme/electrode interface studies, electrocatalysis.

Biofilms electroactivity. Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance (EQCM), Biosensors.

Biomarkers and electyroanalysis (including microelectrodes; detetection of pollutants and pharmaceuticals)

Spectroelectrochemistry. Spectroscopic techniques applied to biological systems and correlation with electrochemistry techniques. Nanopatterned systems based on electron transfer proteins.

New conducting materials (including hydrogel and ionic liquids). Detection and quantification of new organometallic compounds.
