Personal profile

Personal information

Presently, I am a PhD student in Artistic Studies – Art and Mediations (NOVA FCSH) with the project «Ontography of the Shadow. Drawing as an (in)visible bond to a place» and researcher at the Art History Institute (IHA), integrating the Museum Studies group (MuSt).

The research target is Drawing as a way of knowing a place, by revealing its unknow marks and stories. It is based on an interdisciplinary artistic practice and museum partnership with the National Museum of Resistance and Freedom in Peniche. My artistic proposal meditates on (in)visibility, gesture and "nothingness" in a relation between Drawing and writing, exploring the floating movement and calligraphic quality of the line. Moreover, I use conceptual maps to articulate concepts and disciplines, as well as document the thinking process.

I collaborate with artists and write for exhibitions and magazines/journals (essays, articles, artistic projects, …).
