Profile Information

CERIS – Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability – is an FCT-registered research unit operating in the Civil Engineering area, being CERIS NOVA the CERIS pole at NOVA School of Science and Technology.

The mission and the objectives of CERIS address research, innovation and knowledge transfer needs in the following areas of the Built and Natural Environment sector: Product Development in Civil Engineering Industries; Risk and Safety in the Built and Natural Environment; Rehabilitation of Built and Natural Environments; Response to Natural and Societal Changes. 

PEOPLE

In 2019, CERIS had 110 PhD members, 74 PhD collaborators and 191 non-PhD collaborators, and is supported by 10 administrative and technical staff.
