P4C-AIM: Education for Hope with Philosophy

Press/Media: Research

Description

Video presented at The European Humanities Conference https://europeanhumanities2021.pt (May 4th-7th 2021 Lisbon, Portugal) describing how Philosophy for Children can importantly contribute to the promotion of excellence of thinking and reasoning for a complete citizenship. P4C methodology offers a grounded sense of hope and freshness in thinking in cultivating collaborative thinking, rigor and the richness of pursuing specific questions. The practical dimension of the project proposed will stand as a way to develop more deeply the theoretical investigation put forward. Consequently, the project will show how the nature of Philosophy for Children assumes an interconnection between pedagogical methodology and its philosophical framework (Lipman 2003). In the recognition that Philosophy for Children can contribute to the acquisition of a critical and creative thinking that is ethically enlightened.
